HBS Biomed Visits St. John's

On Tuesday, April 14th, Ms. Lamarque, Mr. Santiago & his HBS Biomed students visited St. John’s University again to perform additional experiments at the St. Vincent Health Sciences Center. They learned the proper technique to create various arm splints and successfully splinted each other's forearms.

The students also interacted with the "Harvey Cardiopulmonary Patient Simulator", learning how to make diagnoses based upon a variety of heart and lung sounds. The group also enjoyed meeting up with 4 Loughlin alums currently attending St Johns, who shared their busy college experiences.

Last but not least, there was a surprise visit from St. John's mascot, Johnny Thunderbird! These experiences expanded their understanding of how medical technology can be used to effectively solve cases and treat patients.
